The assault occurred on October 5, 2025, but only came to light recently after a video of the attack circulated on social media in December. Preliminary reports indicate that Mr. Quayson was targeted because he enforced strict discipline and prevented one of the former students from entering the examination hall during the 2025 WASSCE Christian Religious Studies paper.
