Antoine Semenyo is set to sign for Manchester City after a deal was agreed over his £65m release clause with Bournemouth. The Ghanaian winger is expected to play his final game for Bournemouth on Wednesday night against Tottenham Hotspur.
Semenyo is set to have his medicals with Manchester City on Thursday ahead of his £65m move from Bournemouth, and expectations are that formal steps are to progress after the game on Wednesday night. Everything is agreed upon by all parties involved.
Antoine Semenyo’s former club, Bristol City, will receive 20% from his sale; he joined Bournemouth from Bristol in January 2023 for close to £10m. Despite interest from several clubs, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Tottenham Hotspur, for Semenyo, only Manchester City contacted Bournemouth about his £65m release clause.
Chelsea decided not to proceed with things after the player gave total priority to a move to the Etihad instead. Per reports, Manchester City wants to keep both Savinho and Omar Marmoush even if they complete the signing of Antoine Semenyo. These reports come in after many media outlets revealed the possibility of the club selling these two talented players if they sign Semenyo.
Semenyo will sign a five-year contract with Manchester City and will earn around £150,000 per week plus bonuses. According to Andoni Iraola in a press conference, he acknowledged that the transfer market dynamics point towards an imminent departure for the Ghanaian winger.

Unless there is a late turnaround, the official announcement from Manchester City will be shared after the medicals are completed. Man City are ready to have Semenyo as soon as possible before they face Exeter in the FA Cup 3rd round or Newcastle United in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup.
